Privacy isn't a setting.
It's the whole design.
One rule decides who can see whom, and every part of the app obeys it. Someone sees your location only if all of these are true:
- 1 You both belong to the same group, and neither has blocked the other.
- 2 You chose to share with that group.
- 3 They chose to watch that group.
- 4 Your sharing hasn't expired (you can share "for the next hour").
- 5 Your master switch is on.
Sharing and watching are independent directions — turning one on never implies the other. Flip the master switch off and no one can see you, even people you'd allowed. Going dark is indistinguishable from a dead battery: Lōc never sends a "stopped sharing" alert to your watchers. The dot just goes stale.

Flip sharing off — for an hour, a day, a week, or a month — and it turns itself back on. Works for everything at once, or just one group. A live countdown shows when you're back.

Trips, not just dots
Tap a friend and see their recent trips — little maps of the last 48 hours. Tap one for the full route, ping by ping, with time and speed. Each person controls this with their own "share my recent activity" switch.

Real-time watching is a deliberate act, not a default: a full-page LIVE view with a direction arrow and movement trail — and the person you're watching is told the moment you start.

Share per group, not with the world. Drop a place with a geofence and get private arrival & departure notifications — minus the noise about people you're riding with.

Sign in your way, leave your way
Sign in with Apple or email + password. And if you ever want out, delete your account right in Settings — two taps, everything purged.

Scan a QR code or tap an invite link from someone you trust.

You're sharing — that's the point
Joining a group starts sharing with it, no setup maze. Pause any group (or everything) for an hour up to a month, anytime.

Stay in control
The master switch overrides everything, you always see who's watching — and you're told the moment anyone watches you live.
Privacy policy
The short version (because it should be short).
- Location only while you're sharing. When your master switch is off, or you're not sharing with a group, nothing is reported.
- Kept briefly. Location history is retained for a few days (it powers the 48-hour trips view), then aged out automatically.
- Never sold. Your location is shared only with the specific people you choose, for as long as you choose.
- You can see who can see you. Watchers, live views, and recent views are always visible to you — and you're alerted the moment someone starts watching you live.
- Your history is yours. Each group has its own "share my recent activity" switch, and only you control it.
- You're in control. Block anyone, leave any group, or go dark instantly — without notifying your watchers.
- Leave for good, if you want. Delete your account from Settings anytime; everything is purged within 30 days and your Sign in with Apple connection is revoked.
